Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA), 78-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Grant upgrades its record to 18-5 on the season. The Lancers travel to Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) in a bout, on Friday, February 2. Arleta will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 37-29 non-league loss to Panorama (Panorama City, CA).
