Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) and the host West Park Panthers (Roseville, CA), saw Nevada Union's basketball squad hold off West Park by a count of 46-43.

With the victory, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Placer (Auburn, CA) to play the Hillmen in a challenge on Friday, February 2. The Hillmen come into the challenge with a record of 9-13. Placer won 68-46 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, February 2. West Park will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 53-51 league win over Oakmont (Roseville, CA).
