Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA), 71-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Yreka upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Miners host Lassen (Susanville, CA) to clash with the Grizzlies in a bout on Friday, February 2. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 10-10.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA) in a bout, on Friday, February 2. West Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-19 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 59-49 league win over Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA).
