In Friday's league test, the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs (Northome, MN) basketball squad trounced the visiting Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN), by a score of 76-40.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the Red Lake Warriors (Red Lake, MN) in a A Section 8 test, on Monday, February 3. Kelliher/Northome will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 7-9 record after their 86-42 league win over Laporte (Laporte, MN).
The Drakes (2-16) will now prepare for their test against Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN). The Panthers come into the A Section 8 test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, Cass Lake-Bena was routed by Park Christian (Moorhead, MN), 88-41, in a non-league test.
