In Friday's league test, the Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR) basketball squad defeated the host Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR), by a score of 59-50.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Santiam Christian Eagles (Corvallis, OR) in a 3A PacWest test, on Monday, February 3. Taft will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 12-5 record after their 72-45 league win over Jefferson (Jefferson, OR).
