The Fairmont Cardinals basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Blue Earth Buccaneers to 50 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now have a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to St. Peter for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. Fairmont will confront a Saints team coming off a 87-74 league loss to Worthington (Worthington, MN). The Saints record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Blue Earth falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Martin County West (Sherburn, MN) to confront the Mavericks in a non-league game on Thursday, February 6. The Mavericks go into the game with a record of 7-15. Martin County West lost 67-63 in their recent league game against Cleveland (Cleveland, MN)
