In Friday's league contest, the visiting Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers basketball team scored a big 78-48 triumph over the Meade County Green Waves.

The Fighting Tigers (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Apollo (Owensboro, KY). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Apollo smashed Ohio County (Hartford, KY), 63-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Green Waves confront the Elizabethtown Panthers (Elizabethtown, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. Meade County will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 6-13 record after their 59-51 non-league win over Bardstown (Bardstown, KY).
