The St. John Fighting Herald basketball squad (Ashtabula, OH), was nudged 56-53 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Bristol Panthers (Bristolville, OH)

With the victory, Bristol advances its record to 12-6 on the year. The Panthers host Chalker (Southington, OH) to meet the Wildcats in a Northeastern battle on Wednesday, February 5. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 3-12.

The Fighting Herald now own a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maplewood for a Northeastern battle on Saturday, February 1. St. John will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 50-27 league loss to Mathews (Vienna, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 4-11.
