The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA) and the visiting Burney Raiders (Burney, CA), observed Chester's basketball team knock off Burney by a score of 52-33.

The Volcanoes (14-9) will now prepare for their challenge against CORE Butte (Chico, CA). The Lynx come into the Five Star challenge with a 1-15 record. In their last challenge, CORE Butte was knocked off by Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA), 49-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Surprise Valley Hornets (Cedarville, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Burney will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record.
