The Red River Bulldogs (Coushatta, LA) basketball edged the visiting Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA), 56-52 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 21-8 record. They play next when they travel to Many for a 2A District 3 bout on Tuesday, February 4.
With the loss, Captain Shreve falls to 29-11 on the campaign. The Gators host Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA) to play the Chiefs in a 5A District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 21-7. Natchitoches Central won 44-41 in their recent league bout against Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, LA)
