The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Chiawana Riverhawks (Pasco, WA) and the visiting Southridge Suns (Kennewick, WA), observed Chiawana's basketball team edge Southridge by a margin of 71-65.

The Riverhawks (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Richland (Richland, WA). The Bombers come into the 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge with a 15-0 record. In their last challenge, Richland edged Southridge (Kennewick, WA), 89-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Suns battle the Walla Walla Blue Devils (Walla Walla, WA) in a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge, on Friday, February 7. Southridge will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 65-59 league loss to Kennewick (Kennewick, WA).
