In Friday's league test, the Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN) basketball squad knocked off the host Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN), by a score of 82-68.

Next, the Hunters clash with the Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines (Eveleth, MN) in a AAA Section 7 test, on Tuesday, February 4. Denfeld will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Wolverines come into the test with a 6-11 record after their 71-40 non-league loss to Superior (Superior, WI).

The Wildcats (1-16) will now prepare for their test against North Branch (North Branch, MN). The Vikings come into the AAA Section 7 test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, North Branch went down by Becker (Becker, MN), 80-36, in a non-league test.
