In Friday's league test, the Lakeside Dragons (Ashtabula, OH) basketball squad got by the host Conneaut Spartans (Conneaut, OH), by a score of 67-62.

Next, the Dragons clash with the Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 1. Lakeside will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the test with a 6-9 record after their 72-54 league loss to Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH).

The Spartans (1-14) will now prepare for their test against Wickliffe (Wickliffe, OH). The Blue Devils come into the non-league test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Wickliffe was nipped by Berkshire (Burton, OH), 41-30, in a league test.
