The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) and the visiting Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY), observed South Laurel's basketball team overwhelm Corbin by a margin of 56-35.

The Cardinals (16-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Colonels come into the non-league challenge with a 6-10 record.

In their next game, the Redhounds battle the Evangel Christian Eagles (Louisville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Corbin will attempt to better on its 12-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 75-58 non-league loss to Christian Academy-Louisville (Louisville, KY).
