In Friday's league contest, the visiting Crosbyton Chiefs basketball team scored a close 68-66 triumph over the Lorenzo Hornets.
The Chiefs (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Petersburg (Petersburg, TX). The Buffaloes go into the 1A Region I District 7 contest with a 9-13 record. In their last contest, Petersburg nipped Wilson (Wilson, TX), 62-41, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Southland Eagles (Southland, TX) in a 1A Region I District 7 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Lorenzo will attempt to better on its 16-10 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 5-11 record after their 61-33 league loss to O'Donnell (O'Donnell, TX).
