Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 61-58 in a league match.
With the victory, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy upgrades its record to 14-5 on the year. The Gryphons travel to Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC) to face the Raptors in a non-league match on Monday, February 3. The Raptors enter the match with a record of 11-9.
The Warriors now sport a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bessemer City for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont match on Tuesday, February 4. East Gaston will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 66-59 league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 11-8.
