The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Eastern Eagles (Beaver, OH) and the visiting South Gallia Rebels (Crown City, OH), observed Eastern's basketball team overcome South Gallia by a score of 67-53.

The Eagles (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against New Hope Christian Academy (Circleville, OH). The Statesmen come into the non-league challenge with a 13-2 record. In their last challenge, New Hope Christian Academy defeated High Street Christian Academy (Columbus, OH), 61-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. South Gallia will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 63-54 league win over Trimble (Glouster, OH).
