In Friday's league contest, the visiting Eastern Eagles basketball team scored a close 50-48 triumph over the Waterford Wildcats.
The Eagles (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Redskins go into the non-league contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Caldwell was tipped by Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH), 69-22, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats confront the St. Joseph Central Flyers (Ironton, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Waterford will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Flyers go into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 56-47 league win over Glenwood (New Boston, OH).
