The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights (Las Vegas, NV) and the host Eldorado Firehawks (Las Vegas, NV), observed Mater Academy East Las Vegas's basketball team overwhelm Eldorado by a score of 83-24.

The Knights (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Virgin Valley (Mesquite, NV). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Southern - Desert challenge with a 13-9 record. In their last challenge, Virgin Valley was routed by Democracy Prep Agassi Campus (Las Vegas, NV), 76-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Firehawks encounter the Moapa Valley Pirates (Overton, NV) in a 3A Southern - Desert challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Eldorado will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 10-14 record after their 70-62 non-league win over GV Christian (Henderson, NV).
