With the victory, Floyd County advances its record to 14-3 on the year. The Buffaloes travel to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to face the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers match on Tuesday, February 4. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 17-1. Carroll County won 61-40 in their recent league match against James River (Buchanan, VA)

The Cougars now own a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chatham for a non-league match on Monday, February 3. Patrick County will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 83-59 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-9.
