The Shiprock Chieftains basketball squad (Shiprock, NM), was outscored 54-45 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM)
With the victory, Gallup advances its record to 10-10 on the year. The Bengals host Aztec (Aztec, NM) to meet the Tigers in a 4A District 1 battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 7-13. Aztec lost 55-52 in their recent league battle against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM)
The Chieftains now own a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Miyamura for a 4A District 1 battle on Tuesday, February 4. Shiprock will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 48-46 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Patriots record now stands at 2-18.
