In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Spring Lake Lakers basketball team scored a good 60-50 triumph over the Holland Dutch.

The Lakers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Hamilton, MI). The Hawkeyes go into the Ottawa-Kent - Blue contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Hamilton topped West Michigan Aviation Academy (Grand Rapids, MI), 58-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Dutch confront the Holland Christian Maroons (Holland, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Holland will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Maroons go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 61-48 non-league win over Zeeland West (Zeeland, MI).
