In Friday's league test, the Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI) basketball squad trounced the host Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI), by a score of 68-45.

Next, the Mountaineers encounter the Menominee Maroons (Menominee, MI) in a non-league test, on Monday, February 3. Iron Mountain will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record. The Maroons come into the test with a 10-8 record after their 52-43 league loss to Marquette (Marquette, MI).

The Hematites (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Patriots come into the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Westwood bounced Manistique (Manistique, MI), 86-27, in a non-league test.
