The Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA) basketball edged the visiting John Champe Knights (Aldie, VA), 48-43 in Friday's league bout.

The Wolverines now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Loudoun County for a Catoctin bout on Tuesday, February 4. Woodgrove will play a Captains team coming off a 68-56 league win over Park View (Sterling, VA). The Captains record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, John Champe falls to 2-15 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Rock Ridge (Ashburn, VA) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Monday, February 3. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Rock Ridge lost 58-36 in their recent league bout against Loudoun Valley (Purcellville, VA)
