The Union Grove Lions basketball team scored 80 points and limited the host Linden-Kildare Tigers to 28 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now have a 18-13 record. They play next when they host Ore City for a 2A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, February 4. Union Grove will confront a Rebels team coming off a 53-49 league win over McLeod (McLeod, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 13-12.

With the loss, Linden-Kildare falls to 1-21 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hawkins (Hawkins, TX) to confront the Hawks in a 2A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, February 4. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 26-2. Hawkins won 76-57 in their recent league game against Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX)
