The Lynnfield Pioneers (Lynnfield, MA) basketball were winner over the visiting North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA), 59-40 in Friday's league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ipswich for a non-league bout on Monday, February 3. Lynnfield will play a Tigers team coming off a 71-47 non-league loss to Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, North Reading falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Hornets host Rockport (Rockport, MA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Monday, February 3. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-7.
