The Westwood Patriots basketball team scored 86 points and limited the visiting Manistique Emeralds to 27 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now have a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ishpeming for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. Westwood will confront a Hematites team coming off a 68-45 league loss to Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI). The Hematites record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Manistique falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Emeralds travel to Gladstone (Gladstone, MI) to confront the Braves in a non-league game on Monday, February 3. The Braves go into the game with a record of 4-11. Gladstone won 55-51 in their recent non-league game against Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI)
