In Friday's league contest, the visiting Mercer County Golden Eagles basketball team scored a close 37-34 triumph over the Monmouth-Roseville Titans.
The Golden Eagles (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Brimfield (Brimfield, IL). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Brimfield nipped West Prairie (Sciota, IL), 58-42, in a league contest.
