The Mineola Yellowjackets basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Quitman Bulldogs to 30 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now have a 9-14 record. They play next when they travel to Edgewood for a 3A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, February 4. Mineola will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 73-38 league win over Eustace (Eustace, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-12.

With the loss, Quitman falls to 5-23 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX) to confront the Indians in a 3A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, February 4. The Indians go into the game with a record of 15-8. Grand Saline won 55-47 in their recent league game against Mineola (Mineola, TX)
