The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Santa Ynez Pirates (Santa Ynez, CA) and the visiting Nipomo Titans (Nipomo, CA), observed Santa Ynez's basketball team overwhelm Nipomo by a score of 76-25.

The Pirates (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Righetti (Santa Maria, CA). The Warriors come into the Sunset challenge with a 15-10 record. In their last challenge, Righetti trounced Lompoc (Lompoc, CA), 68-36, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Titans encounter the Cabrillo Conquistadores (Lompoc, CA) in a Sunset challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Nipomo will attempt to improve on its 3-22 season record. The Conquistadores come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 67-44 league win over Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA).
