The Northumberland Indians basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Westmoreland Eagles to 59 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now possess a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Mathews for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Northumberland will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 60-57 non-league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 12-6.
With the loss, Westmoreland falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA) to confront the Raiders in a Northern Neck game on Tuesday, February 4.
