The Onalaska Hilltoppers basketball squad scored 69 points and held the host Sparta Spartans to 58 in the Hilltoppers league victory on Friday.

With the victory, Onalaska upgrades its record to 14-5 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to La Crosse Central (La Crosse, WI) to face the Riverhawks in a Mississippi Valley match on Saturday, February 1. The Riverhawks enter the match with a record of 7-6. La Crosse Central lost 52-43 in their recent league match against Sparta (Sparta, WI)

The Spartans now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Viroqua for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. Sparta will face a Blackhawks squad coming off a 68-53 league loss to Black River Falls (Black River Falls, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 5-10.
