Oregon High School Basketball - Philomath sneaks past Stayton

The Philomath Warriors basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Stayton Eagles to 42 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Newport for a 4A Oregon West game on Tuesday, February 4. Philomath will play a Cubs team coming off a 52-43 league win over Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR). The Cubs record now stands at 12-5.
With the loss, Stayton falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host North Marion (Aurora, OR) to play the Huskies in a 4A Oregon West game on Tuesday, February 4. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 12-6. North Marion lost 68-56 in their recent league game against Cascade (Turner, OR)
