The Pope Greyhounds nipped the visiting River Ridge Knights basketball squad by a final score of 57-53 in Friday's league outing.
Next, the Greyhounds clash with the Creekview Grizzlies (Canton, GA) in a AAAAA Region 6 outing, on Tuesday, February 4. Pope will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Grizzlies enter the outing with a 9-15 record after their 71-60 league loss to Sprayberry (Marietta, GA).
The Knights (9-15) will now prepare for their outing against Woodstock (Woodstock, GA). The Wolverines enter the AAAAA Region 6 outing with a 11-13 record. In their last outing, Woodstock was nipped by Riverwood (Sandy Springs, GA), 60-59, in a league outing.
