In Friday's league contest, the visiting Rosepine Eagles basketball team scored a close 75-69 win over the Vinton Lions.
The Eagles (23-3) will now prepare for their contest against DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA). The Tigers come into the 2A District 4 contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, DeQuincy was tipped by East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA), 60-54, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the South Cameron Tarpons (Creole, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. Vinton will attempt to better on its 17-15 season record. The Tarpons come into the contest with a 1-14 record after their 69-32 league loss to Johnson Bayou (Cameron, LA).
