In Friday's league contest, the host Somerset Christian Cougars basketball team scored a good 81-68 triumph over the Southwestern Warriors.
The Cougars (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Cardinals go into the District 48 contest with a 7-10 record.
In their next game, the Warriors confront the Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Southwestern will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 61-47 non-league win over Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY).
