The Monterey Trail Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Elk Grove Thundering Herd to 47 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Laguna Creek for a game on Monday, February 3. Monterey Trail will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 55-45 league loss to Elk Grove (Elk Grove, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Elk Grove falls to 12-12 on the campaign. The Thundering herd host Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA) to confront the Wolfpack in a game on Monday, February 3.
