In Friday's non-league contest, the host Highland Hornets basketball squad scored a tight 44-41 win over the Valencia Jaguars.
Next, the Hornets encounter the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 4. Highland will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Sartans come into the test with a 9-2 record after their 63-22 non-league win over Estancia (Estancia, NM).
The Jaguars (0-9) will now prepare for their test against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles come into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Belen was nipped by Grants (Grants, NM), 61-14, in a non-league test.
