The Thurston Colts basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Ashland Grizzlies to 38 in the Colts league triumph on Friday.

The Colts now have a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to North Eugene for a 5A Midwestern game on Tuesday, February 4. Thurston will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 58-42 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, OR). The Highlanders record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Ashland falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Crater (Central Point, OR) to confront the Comets in a 5A Midwestern game on Tuesday, February 4. The Comets go into the game with a record of 18-1. Crater won 53-47 in their recent league game against Springfield (Springfield, OR)
