The Yamhill-Carlton Tigers basketball squad (Yamhill, OR), was outscored 50-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR)
With the victory, Astoria advances its record to 8-7 on the year. The Fishermen travel to Tillamook (Tillamook, OR) to meet the Cheesemakers in a 4A Cowapa battle on Friday, January 31. The Cheesemakers enter the battle with a record of 5-0.
The Tigers now own a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Banks for a 3A Coastal Range battle on Monday, February 3. Yamhill-Carlton will meet a Braves squad coming off a 38-35 league win over Corbett (Corbett, OR). The Braves record now stands at 19-3.
