In Friday's league contest, the host Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks basketball team scored a good 71-63 triumph over the Big Sandy Pioneers.
The Hawks (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby (Shelby, MT). The Coyotes go into the non-league contest with a 8-6 record.
In their next game, the Pioneers confront the North Star Knights (Rudyard, MT) in a C District 9 contest, on Saturday, February 8. Big Sandy will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 47-39 league loss to Fort Benton (Fort Benton, MT).
