In Friday's league contest, the host Broadway Gobblers basketball team scored a big 57-31 triumph over the William Monroe Dragons.
The Gobblers (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Staunton (Staunton, VA). The Storm go into the non-league contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Staunton smashed Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 55-41, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Dragons battle the East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) in a Valley contest, on Tuesday, February 4. William Monroe will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 15-2 record after their 52-32 league win over Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA).
