California High School Basketball - Central sneaks past Buchanan

January 31, 2025: Fresno, CA 93722

The Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA) basketball edged the visiting Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA), 47-42 in Friday's league bout.

The Grizzlies now possess a 19-4 record. They play next when they travel to Oakland Tech for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 1. Central will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-11 league win over Fremont (Oakland, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Buchanan falls to 12-14 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Clovis West (Fresno, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a Tri-Rivers bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 26-0. Clovis West won 91-30 in their recent league bout against Clovis East (Clovis, CA)
