Lakeview Academy Lions (Gainesville, GA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Carrollton Trojans (Carrollton, GA), 46-43 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Lakeview Academy advances its record to 16-6 on the year. The Lions host Forsyth Central (Cumming, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, February 1. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 8-14. Forsyth Central lost 51-33 in their recent league match against Denmark (Alpharetta, GA)

The Trojans now own a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Douglas County for a AAAAAA Region 2 match on Tuesday, February 4. Carrollton will face a Tigers squad coming off a 70-49 non-league loss to New Manchester (Douglasville, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-18.
