The Cascade Cougars (Cascade, IA) basketball were winner over the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA), 47-34 in Friday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Anamosa for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. Cascade will play a Raiders team coming off a 55-17 non-league loss to Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-8.
With the loss, Monticello falls to 12-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 16-2. Maquoketa won 56-28 in their recent non-league bout against Beckman (Dyersville, IA)
