The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN) and the host Cedar Mountain Cougars (Morgan, MN), observed Sleepy Eye's basketball team edge Cedar Mountain by a score of 49-44.

The Indians (15-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 16-6 record. In their last challenge, Lester Prairie edged Springfield (Springfield, MN), 83-72, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars clash with the St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) in a A Section 2 test, on Tuesday, February 4. Cedar Mountain will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 19-1 record after their 76-69 non-league win over Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN).
