The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) and the visiting Centerville Bulldogs (Centerville, LA), observed Covenant Christian Academy's basketball team overwhelm Centerville by a score of 52-16.
The Lions (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA). The Eagles come into the 1A District 7 challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Central Catholic trounced Jeanerette (Jeanerette, LA), 63-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the South Terrebonne Gators (Bourg, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Centerville will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 48-40 league loss to South Lafourche (Galliano, LA).
