Nebraska High School Basketball - Wisner-Pilger can't hold off Clarkson/Leigh

Clarkson/Leigh Patriots (Clarkson, NE) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Wisner-Pilger Gators (Wisner, NE), 37-31 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Clarkson/Leigh upgrades its record to 10-9 on the year. The Patriots travel to Pierce (Pierce, NE) to face the Bluejays in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Bluejays enter the match with a record of 13-6. Pierce won 44-34 in their recent non-league match against Crofton (Crofton, NE)

The Gators now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lyons-Decatur Northeast for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Wisner-Pilger will face a Cougars squad coming off a 57-22 non-league loss to Howells-Dodge (Howells, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 8-11.
