The Cleveland Central Wolves (Cleveland, MS) basketball crushed the host North Side Gators (Shelby, MS), 43-2 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Wolves now possess a 17-6 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league bout on Monday, February 3. Cleveland Central will play a Hornets team coming off a 54-36 league loss to Gentry (Indianola, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 10-13.
With the loss, North Side falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Gators host Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-13. Leflore County won 27-21 in their recent league bout against Charleston (Charleston, MS)
