In Friday's league contest, the host Quitman Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 46-43 triumph over the Conway Christian Eagles.
The Bulldogs (24-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph (Conway, AR). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Region 5 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph was tipped by Bigelow (Bigelow, AR), 40-24, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the White County Central Bears (Judsonia, AR) in a 2A Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Conway Christian will attempt to better on its 13-6 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 5-22 record after their 72-46 league loss to Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR).
